Salaried employees are usually exempt from overtime as opposed to hourly paid staff. One major difference between salaried employees and hourly paid employees is overtime eligibility. The figures mentioned above are good approximations and are considered to be the standard. The hourly wage calculation may differ slightly depending on the worked hours per week and the annual vacation allowance. ![]() To convert salary into hourly wage the above formula is used (assuming 5 working days in a week and 8 working hours per day which is the standard for most jobs). Salaried jobs pay a fixed amount regardless of the hours worked. Usually, jobs are classified into two categories: salaried jobs and hourly jobs. The hourly wage is the salary paid in one worked hour. Hourly Wage = Annual Salary / ( 52 x 5 x 8 ) The reason is quite simple: it is easier to quantify your value to the company in monetary terms when you participate in revenue generation. Revenue generators usually get more and higher bonuses, higher salaries, and more frequent salary increments. A commission is a prefixed rate at which someone gets paid for items sold or deals completed while a bonus is in most cases arbitrary and unplanned. People tend to confuse bonuses with commissions. Only 5% of individuals have salaries exceeding 2,470 SGD. About 20% of salaries are below the 1,530 SGD mark, while 10% fall within the range of 2,170 SGD to 2,470 SGD. The majority of reported salaries, approximately 65%, fall within the range of 1,530 SGD to 2,170 SGD. This approach provides a more precise representation of salary distribution for the job title Bus Driver in Singapore compared to simply calculating the average. To provide a better understanding of expected salaries, we categorized the frequently occurring salaries into different ranges. Similarly, the chart shows that 75% earn less than 2,850 SGD while 25% earn more. By examining the salary distribution chart, it can be determined that 25% of professionals employed as Bus Driver in Singapore earn less than 2,020 SGD, while 75% earn more. The median is closely associated with two other values known as the 25th and 75th percentiles. Ideally, you would want to belong to the group earning more than the median salary, located on the right side of the salary distribution graph. The median salary denotes the middle value of salaries. With a median salary of 2,480 SGD, half of the professionals who work as Bus Driver in Singapore earn less than this amount, and the other half earn more. It should be noted that the given figure is not the legally mandated minimum wage rather, it represents the lowest figure reported in a salary survey that included thousands of participants and professionals from all regions of the country. Other times, you'll try to walk by a Nightwalker a half block away and be sighted immediately. Sometimes, you'll go to great lengths to get around a sentry that you're positive will be able to easily spot you, only to eventually abandon this alternate route and discover that you can dart around the bloodsucker unseen. But even though you get used to this vagueness, the fickle vision cones force you into tedious trial and error. Shadows are more authentic zones of darkness here, not the magic cloaking fields seen in the Splinter Cell and Thief games. First of all, Nightwalker vision cones are rough approximations of what the beasties can actually see. New ideas are introduced in almost every area, but these innovations just mess up what should have been a pretty straightforward game design. Still, this isn't exactly a by-the-numbers stealth game. If you succeed, congratulations-you've just beaten a transparent game mechanic. Instead of getting to listen to inane conversations tipping you off to the guards, you get a cheesy flashing-eyes special effect that lets you know somebody with fangs is watching and you've got a couple of seconds to get under cover. ![]() The only striking difference between this game and a typical sneaker is that you're dealing with undead killing machines that have no personality-not the usual sentries whining about noisy rats. Level design should also be familiar because you spend the game creeping through alleyways, climbing ladders, and sliding down wires or poles in a desperate attempt to avoid the vision cones of patrolling bad guys displayed on your minimap. Even though Lloyd is supposed to be fighting an undead invasion, he spends most of his time dealing with standard spy stuff, such as sabotaging electronics, shutting down power plants, and sniping bad guys. You're sent on one technological scavenger hunt after another, set in usual-suspect locales, such as offices, parking garages, warehouses, and deserted city streets. Mission objectives are taken from the Third Echelon playbook. Lloyd looks exactly like Sam Fisher, right down to his black Underoos and night-vision goggles. Aside from fanged foes ripping your throat out when you lose, there aren't any differences between Vampire Rain and a typical espionage-style sneaker. ![]() It's hard to get too creeped out by the protagonist and setting, either, because both are pulled straight from Splinter Cell. Oddly enough, the rain of murderous vampires doesn't keep pedestrians and cops from wandering the streets at all hours of the night. Yet gory scenes, such as the one where you discover some of your buddies have been turned into performance art through the innovative use of stop signs, seem more like cheap gimmicks than truly spooky. Visual design of the game is too urban and high-tech to give off any sort of creepy gothic vibe, so the game always goes for the gross-out. Civilians are still walking the streets at night without a care in the world, so it's hard to believe that you're in the middle of a bloodsucking apocalypse. The new PS3 version of the game better explains how this is happening, courtesy of a relocated flashback scene, although the whole story still seems faintly ludicrous and not the slightest bit scary. These fanged goons are biting their way across America and will outnumber Joe Sixpacks with pulses in precisely 908 days. The campaign tells the ludicrous tale of John Lloyd, member of a team of plucky commandos fighting a secret war against postmodern vampires called Nightwalkers. About the only good thing about this game is that it doesn't waste your time it broadcasts its awfulness right from the start. Playing Splinter Cell with vampires isn't as cool in reality as it is on paper. ![]() ![]() This is a mostly straight-up reissuing of last year's debacle, loaded with the same crippling design screwups and absurd difficulty. Alas, the game has been resurrected for a new platform with a subtitle added to it in the hopes of fooling people into believing that this is a superior sequel. Developer Artoon's blend of Splinter Cell-style stealth gaming with toothy creatures of the night was so awful when it debuted for the Xbox 360 last summer that it deserved to be locked inside its coffin for good. If they could be finished off a la Van Helsing, you can bet that Vampire Rain: Altered Species would never have made it to the PlayStation 3. Vampire games apparently can't be staked. ![]() ![]() ![]() We can only assume its individual apps follow the same pattern. For example, Windows 10 stores your data to sell ads, can use some of your hard drive space for its own ends, plus a whole heap of other issues. When it comes to privacy, Microsoft is a disaster. Meaning that even if somebody were to get their hands on your data, they would most likely not be able to read what’s in your files - just make sure you have a good password. At the same time, though, we don’t want to overstate the danger, as Microsoft does encrypt all files. For example, in April 2021, when the Microsoft Exchange servers - where To Do data is stored - were under attack for several days.Ĭombine that with the company’s penchant for introducing patches that have vulnerabilities, and we recommend not storing sensitive information on any Microsoft platform. While we believe that the company does its utmost to secure its servers (as stated on the security page), scares will still be many and often. The main security concern when using Microsoft products is the fact that the company’s servers are under constant attack. It’s a shame, but this was definitely a downgrade for Wunderlist fans. Compared to Wunderlist, Microsoft To Do is downright ugly and offers little-to-no customization options. Regarding ease of use, which we’ll discuss further down, the differences become glaring. Though functionally the same, neither integrates particularly well with other Microsoft products unless you use a no-code automation program like Integromat or Zapier. When compared to Wunderlist - the app Microsoft To Do is meant to replace - you wonder why it was made redundant. How the Microsoft To Do App Is Different From Wunderlist In short, all you can do with the Microsoft To Do app is create tasks yourself or from an email, which severely limits the program’s usefulness - what’s the point of having a planning app that’s part of a greater suite when it can’t play with the other apps? It seems like wasted potential, and we were honestly quite surprised to find out you can’t add calendar events to the list. At time of writing, this isn’t possible and it’s unclear when Microsoft will integrate these apps. However, when you try to integrate it with Outlook Calendar or assign an Office document as a task, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Microsoft To Do saves you some time and increases productivity in automatically creating tasks of flagged emails. ![]() However, as you’ll see in our section on features, there are some marked differences between the two apps. In 2019, Microsoft announced that it would kill off Wunderlist in May 2020. However, in this case, Microsoft is basically the evil stepmother from fairy tales it never intended to keep stepchild Wunderlist around and worked to replace it with its own checklist. Microsoft acquired Wunderlist in 2015 and ran it under its own name as part of the Microsoft family. One way you may have heard about it is as the successor of Wunderlist, another list-based app we’ve covered in our Wunderlist review. Microsoft To Do is a list-based app that can help you manage tasks. What Is Microsoft To Do (Formerly Wunderlist)? If you’re not too impressed after the experience, we recommend you either check out a better task list, like Todoist (read our Todoist review), or jump straight into reading about proper project management software, starting with our review. The Microsoft To Do app is entirely free, so there’s no harm in checking it out. Though it serves as a Wunderlist replacement, Microsoft To Do isn’t nearly as useful as its predecessor. This app doesn’t integrate with the overwhelming majority of other Microsoft apps for some reason, nullifying its main selling point.Microsoft To Do is nowhere near being a fully fledged project management software even as a list app, it falls short of most of its competitors. Also, it doesn’t support full integration with the rest of the Microsoft suite of software, so it’s pretty useless until it does. Even then, though, you’ll quickly run into the limits of what Microsoft To Do can offer: it’s just a checklist, after all. ![]() That niche would be for people who already regularly use Outlook Mail and just want a quick and easy way to keep track of important tasks. As you’ll see in this full Microsoft To Do review, it doesn’t pose any real challenge to the best project management software, but it could have a place in a very specific niche. Microsoft To Do is a to-do list built to integrate directly with other Microsoft products, most notably Outlook Mail and Microsoft Planner.
